And the company's charitable foundation, McHales Cares, has awarded over $25,000 in grants since its launch. It's all a part of their effort to give back to a community that has given so much to them.

House & Home spoke with McHales' Director of Operations and HVAC manager Alysaa Vanni about McHales Service Partner Plan and McHales Cares' impact on the local community.

What services does the Service Partner Plan (SPP) offer customers?
Our Service Partner Plan is a monthly membership that offers safety, savings and peace of mind to our members. We offer four system checks a year: one plumbing, one electric, one heating check and one AC check. On these checks, our technicians will do a thorough evaluation of your system to ensure that it is operating properly. If they do happen to find any issues, our technicians will give you detailed options to fix the issue. If you choose to go with any work with McHales, as a Service Partner Plan Member, you will receive 10% off any work.

Why is it important for homeowners to receive annual tune-ups and inspections?
Savings. Savings. Savings. It is important for all homeowners to do an annual system check to ensure that the systems in their home are operating properly. Especially when it comes to your heating and cooling systems, running at peak efficiency is key to reduce the risks of costly breakdowns or malfunctions and extend the life of your heating and air conditioning systems.

How does McHales ensure a quality experience to every customer?
Our technicians are well trained and continue to receive ongoing education to achieve the highest industry standard. From the initial call to our call center to the technician coming to your home, we want to make sure that all of our customers receive a five-star experience.

Tell me about McHales Cares.
McHales Cares is a community give back program that began in April of 2019. Our goal is to find well deserving charities in our community that could use a little help. We donate $1,000 each month to the winning charity so that they can continue to give back to the same community McHales has been a part of since 1950.

How are charities chosen?
Every month on our McHales Cares website, we have three charities that are vying for the $1,000. Whichever receives the most votes, wins. Votes come from a mixture of the general public and the charity's followers. Over the last four years, McHales has been lucky enough to give away $50,000. The people that we have meant along the way prove that there is more good in the world than you would think. Mr. Rogers was right when he said "Look for the helpers, you'll find them."

One of the highlights of our McHales Cares program was the renovation of the Middletown Athletic Association Ball Field. This project started in April of 2023 and completed in May of 2023. Many employees at McHales have played at the field along with their children and grandchildren. It is just one of the many ways McHales continues to give back to the community.
