The Buxton Complex is your ultimate one stop shop located in Ewing, NJ. Evolving over the years and adding different services to help the surrounding communities, we are here to serve you. We have been here since 1982, and offer a wide variety of services. At The Buxton Complex you will find quite a few businesses; Buxton’s Quality Furniture, Buxton’s Backyards Structures, Buxton’s Boxes Self Storage, Cows of Mercer Bucks, and Buxton’s Boxes U-Haul. Buxton’s Quality Furniture offers a great selection of home furnishings for your home, apartment, condo, or office. We work with over 12 builders to offer you the best superiority of hand made quality furniture, from bedroom sets, living room sets, desks, chests, kitchen islands, and more. Our furniture is all made from solid wood, and can be unfinished, stained, or painted. Buxton’s Backyard Structures offers the best selection of swingsets, sheds and outdoor furniture. We will help you create the perfect backyard for you and your family. We offer wood or vinyl swingsets to keep your children out of the house, off those electronics, and enjoying the fresh air while creating those childhood memories. Imagine your children pretending their swingset is a castle and they are slaying a dragon, or they are captaining a pirate’s ship, or they are simply swinging trying to reach the clouds with their feet. We also offer sheds and garages to keep all “your toys” in. Maybe you need a place to store your lawn equipment, pool supplies, atv’s, bikes, or want to build that “SHE-SHED”, we can help. We also offer a wide variety of outdoor furniture in both wood and poly. From porch rockers to Adirondack chairs, porch swings, gliders, picnic tables, outdoor living sofa’s and loveseat’s and more, we have the perfect option you are looking for to make your backyard or porch a picture of visionary excellence. Buxton’s Boxes Self Storage is our storage facility for residential and commercial needs. Need to declutter while you are selling your home? Want to get your holiday decorations out of the basement? Have extra inventory, files or supplies for your business? We offer sizes from 5’ x 5’ to 30’ x 50’, many sizes are offered in both non-climate or climate-controlled units. We take pride in our facility by keeping the units freshly cleaned and painted before every move-in. Our facility is fenced and lighted, has a key-coded entry system, 24-hour video surveillance, and an elevator for 2nd or 3rd floor units. Our leases are a month-to-month, however we do apply discounts for pre-payment long-term leases. Our office has a full stock of boxes and moving supplies. COWs of Mercer Bucks is our portable storage solution, not the type of cow you have to feed everyday or milk. We can deliver a COW “Container on Wheels” to your location, move it to your new location (within 2 hours of our location), or store it for you in our Buxton Barnyard. These units are great for staging your home for sale, decluttering, hiding Christmas presents, and they each have their own personality……..we have one cow that likes to play hockey, one that sings karaoke, even a police office. You could be the lucky customer that gets our BUD BUXTON COW, a custom cow graphic made to look like Bud Buxton. Buxton’s Boxes U-Haul is an authorized dealer for U-Haul. In our fleet we keep cargo vans, box trucks and trailers for local in-town use. We also have trucks and trailers that can go on long distance one-way moves. With our 24/7 Truck Share you can rent a truck 24 hours a day even if we are closed and even offer a night drop for those late night or after hour returns. We are known for our customer service and have the friendliest staff aka family around. Bud and BettyLou Buxton are the oldest generation of The Buxton Complex. Spending time in both New Jersey and Florida, you may run into them at the complex, or at least maybe one of their two Pomeranians, Cubby and Bentley. Bud is a retired Lawrence Township Police Officer and enjoys creating new projects at The Buxton Complex. Betty Lou is a retired 3rd grade teacher of Lambertville Public Schools. When taking some time off they enjoy traveling in their RV across the country or cruising. Barb (the daughter of Bud & BettyLou) and John Conover are the heart of The Buxton Complex. Working practically 7 days a week, they are always around. You will find Barb in and around the office helping customers with brochures and pricing. John will be the one installing your swingset or delivering your furniture. When spending some time away from The Buxton Complex, they are usually sailing away on a cruise to somewhere warm and sunny. Kristi Reading (the daughter of Barb Conover) is the core of The Buxton Complex. Putting all of Barb, John, BettyLou, and Bud’s ideas to work, she is always hard at work. You will find Kristi in the office assisting customers and doing all the daily professional tasks. Kristi is a Notary Public and can assist you in all aspects of the complex. When not at work, Kristi is usually working on her farmette with her three kids, Cody, Kaylee, and Shane; hitting the trails with Cubscouts; or enjoying an adventurous vacation. Marisa Sachleben may not be family by blood, but she is certainly part of the family. Being part of The Buxton Complex since 2007, Marisa can help you in all fields of The Buxton Complex. She has assisted in growing the business and also is a Notary Public with the State of New Jersey. In her free time, Marisa loves to watch the NJ Devils Hockey Team, NY Jets Football team, and enjoys to travel, sometimes with the Buxton Family! Victor Hurtado has been a longtime family friend and employee. Victor is a “JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES”. From keeping the grounds in pristine condition to helping with swingset installs and furniture deliveries you may Victor all around the complex. In Victor’s free time he enjoys to watch foot-ball also known as American Soccer, hike in the park and picnic. Kylie Glospie is new to The Buxton Complex, but is excited to be part of our family and assist customers. Kylie graduated from Nottingham Highschool and played field hockey. Kylie is studying Criminal Justice at Mercer County Community College and plans to advocate for children. She races modified micro stock cars at Wall Stadium, enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in the local community. Meet our Customer Pleasure Department Marley, our senior member has been with us since 2004. He enjoys getting treats from Harry every morning and loves to run around. Even though he is getting older, he can’t stop having fun. Marley is a Havanese- Bichon-Frise Cross. Riley may be the smallest of the customer pleasure department, but she will be the one jumping straight up and down to get your attention. Riley is a Silky Yorkshire Terrier Casey, our whacky customer pleasure department special assistant is our loudest but most cuddlable pup. Casey was a rescue from the New Jersey Animal Rescue and was born in 2014. We know Casey’s mom whs a Blue Heeler. Casey loves playing fetch and being the center of attention. Buddy is our newest recruit and has been with us since 2019. Buddy came from Puerto Rico in December 2018 and was adopted through ARF of Mercer. Buddy is a sweatheart and loves to cuddlue although at times is afraid of his own shadow. He is starting to come around and want to come make the customers smile. We are not sure of Buddy’s breed, we believe he may be a Corgi Cross, however his paperwork from Puerto Rico state he is a Chihuahua. Kit-Kat is our sweet kitty. Kit-Kat along with 4 other kittens were born under a shed at the Garden Center located at The Buxton Complex. After trapping the kittens to give them shots and get the “fixed”, she found that the office, being heated and 24/7 free food, was a better home for her rather than the traditional outdoors of the Feral Cat world. Over the years she has become more and more friendly and even lets Marisa pick her up. Her favorite places to lay are on Marisa’s desk on top of whatever she is working on, in the cubby of the box display or in the large picture window. Mittens and Kit-Kat are sisters, although some customers mistake Mittens to be the Mom since she is super large. As a kitten, Mittens enjoyed licking the creamer cups at the coffee station and put on a little weight. Just like humans, once you put on a little weight, it’s hard to take off. Mittens is often in the box cubbies (when she can squeeze in them), on the front counter, outside greeting customers or sleeping by the fax machine. She has since stopped licking the coffee creamer cups, but knows how to feed herself treats out of the jar.
