This year you celebrate your 46th anniversary. What thoughts and emotions come to mind when you think about that?
I love what I do; 46 years went quickly. I have no plans for retirement because I just love it.

What made you start Evergreen Landscaping Pools & Spas?
I always liked doing outdoor stuff. I had a Christmas tree farm at a young age and loved being outside doing lawns.

Where did you draw inspiration in order to start and build this incredible business?
Inspiration started from my dad who was self-employed. I was raised in a business environment and do what I love. I started this my senior year of high school.

What were your visions in 1980 and how have you met them or even surpassed those visions?
I just had a passion for what I did and every thing seemed to work out.

In what different ways have you grown the company over the past 46 years?
I started out doing grass with one other person. We've now grown to pools, pavers, irrigation, snow removal and 78 employees. In the past five years, we have ventured into development with Evergreen Development, which develops properties for hotels, apartment complexes and retail centers.

What do you see as the biggest accomplishment since your start in 1980?
What we have created, and the amazing team we have put together and the enjoyment we get from the work. It was a challenge then and it's still one now.

What products/services do you currently offer that you think a homeowner values the most?
Our outdoor living spaces is our No. 1 most popular service.

What is your favorite part of the job and what excites you the most?
The challenge and the newness every day. No two days are ever the same.

Where do you expect to go in the next 15 years? In what ways do you expect to continue to grow?
We expect to keep growing and expanding over the years, and have added another arm to the company, Evergreen Development.
